Our grave cleaning service includes a thorough clean of the grave surround, removing moss, algae, lichen, dirt and debris. We clean the headstone using stone-safe methods, tidy the plot, remove any dead flowers or debris, and send you before-and-after photographs after every visit.

How much does grave cleaning cost?

Our prices start from £25 for general tidying, £35 for headstone cleaning, and £45 for a full grave clean. Repair and restoration work starts from £125, and re-lettering from £85. We also offer regular maintenance packages — Essential Care, Full Care, and Premium Care — for families who want ongoing peace of mind.

Do you offer regular maintenance packages?

Yes. We offer three maintenance packages: Essential Care (basic regular visits), Full Care (our most popular package, covering cleaning and tidying), and Premium Care (our most comprehensive service). Many of our customers arrange visits every four to six weeks. We are happy to discuss a schedule that suits you.

Can you straighten a leaning or sunken headstone?

Yes. We repair and restore unstable, leaning, or sunken headstones as part of our repair and restoration service. Tommy will assess the stone and advise on the best approach. We use sympathetic materials and careful techniques to ensure the memorial is made safe and looks its best.

Do you restore gold leaf lettering on headstones?

Yes. We offer gold leaf inscription restoration — carefully re-gilding faded or worn lettering to bring the inscription back to its original appearance. This is a specialist service and we take great care to match the original style of the lettering.

What types of headstone do you clean?

Accepted Answer

We clean all common headstone materials including granite, marble, and sandstone. Each material requires a different approach — for example, sandstone and limestone are more porous and require gentler methods than polished granite. We always use stone-safe, non-acidic cleaning products appropriate to the material.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover London (all 32 boroughs), Essex, and Kent. This includes areas such as Brentwood, Chelmsford, Colchester, Southend-on-Sea, Canterbury, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, and all London boroughs from the City to the outer suburbs. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.

I live abroad — can you still care for a grave in the UK?

Absolutely. Many of our customers live overseas — in Australia, the United States, Canada, and across Europe — and rely on us to care for their loved one's memorial in the UK. After every visit we send photographs directly to you so you can see exactly how the grave looks, wherever you are in the world.

Do I need to be present when you visit?

Accepted Answer

No. You do not need to be present. We carry out all visits independently and send you photographs afterwards so you can see the results. Many of our customers are elderly, live far away, or are based overseas, and they rely entirely on us to manage the visits on their behalf.

Do you need permission from the cemetery to carry out work?

Accepted Answer

For cleaning and tidying, permission is not usually required. For repair and restoration work — such as straightening a headstone — some cemeteries and churchyards do require prior approval. We are familiar with the requirements of cemeteries across our coverage area and will advise you if permission is needed before any work begins.

Yes, always. After every visit we send you before-and-after photographs so you can see exactly what was done and how the memorial looks. This is something we consider essential — it gives families complete peace of mind and a record of the care being provided.

Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully insured for all the work we carry out, including cleaning, tidying, and repair and restoration work. You can have complete confidence that your loved one's memorial is in safe, professional hands.

Who carries out the work?

All work is carried out by our own trained team, led by Tommy. We do not subcontract. Every member of our team understands the sensitive nature of the work and approaches every visit with the care, respect, and dignity it deserves.
